begins in the late 1960's when Ernie Spencer, a singer and songwriter, first picked up his guitar and went out on the folk music circuit in Massachusetts. In 1969, he with his trusty Gibson in tow trucked on out to the Woodstock Festival. Alas! He was beat to the stage by the likes of Joe Cocker, Jimmy Hendrix, Arlo Guthrie.
Ernie married and had children, and found that carpentry paid the bills a lot better than the music he loved. Even so, Ernie continued to play his guitar and write songs, including his standard "The Toothbrush Song."
In 2006, Ernie played his first gig in over 30 years when he played at Tammany Hall in Worcester, MA. Soon thereafter Ernie was inspired by the birth of his granddaughter to write "Madeline's Window," a song that explores a child's fascination with the view of her grandmother's garden.
